THE 2011 EU INDUSTRIAL R&D INVESTMENT SCOREBOARD


The 2011 "EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard" (the Scoreboard) collects information on the top 1000 EU companies and 1000 non-EU companies investing the largest sums in R&D in the last reporting year. The Scoreboard includes data on R&D investment along with other economic and financial data from the last four financial years.

DEMOPAC – FULL EXAMPLE PROJECT PROPOSAL READY


The TransCoSME Consortium has prepared the third brochure in the frame of the Capacities Programme: Research for the benefit of SMEs. This time it is full example proposal "Demonstration of Edible Food Packaging" – DEMOPAC. It has been written as a reference document to help SME’s format their own submission to the demonstration action. It will be soon available in electronic version at:

MONITORING REPORTS


The Monitoring Reports cover the implementation of the FP7 in the years 2007-2013. They are based on the monitoring system, which was designed as an internal management tool using a core set of performance indicators. The reports for years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 are available at:

ANOTHER SCHEME THAT PROMOTES INDUSTRIAL-RESEARCH COOPERATION


The European Industrial Doctorates (EID) scheme appeared in this year call for proposals under the Marie Curie Actions. It is a scheme expected to promote cooperation between universities and businesses and to increase mobility between the two sectors. It will facilitate the exploitation of the research results from universities and research institutes and will also make research affordable to companies, including SMEs. Early-stage researchers will be able to gain company experience while still completing their studies; thereby opening future career perspectives upon completion of their PhD.

CALCULATION TOOL


The tool is aimed to support applicants and to explain the dependencies of the calculation rules within the scheme “Research for the benefit of SME”. That includes the calculation along different cost types and funding rates as well as the specific 110%-rule limiting the European contribution to 110% of the subcontracts for outsourced RTD and demonstration activities.
