The Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) is an independent organization which was established in 1996 as an initiative of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, to promote the development of scientific and technological research and innovation in Cyprus. RPF’s main activities include the development and management of National Research Programmes for the support of research and innovation activities, the promotion and encouragement of the participation of Cyprus in European Research Programmes and the support of the development of research infrastructure in the country. The Foundation, hosts the network of all National Contact Points for the 7th FP and several Representatives in the Programme Committees of FP7 Programmes and it currently participates in numerous ERA-NET projects and Specific Support Actions funded by the E.C.
